NEW YORK – After the successful opening of the first U.S. boutique dedicated to Dijon mustard on Manhattan's Upper West Side in December 2014, award-winning French brand Maille (www.maille.com) expands its NYC footprint downtown this spring with a new flagship location in the Flatiron District. Set to open April 25, the new 719-square-foot boutique is located at 927 Broadway, at 21st Street.
A must-visit destination for New Yorkers and visitors alike, the new Maille boutique features 35 mustards, including new varieties of its exclusive Mustard on Tap, classic and flavored cornichons, vinegars, oils and kitchen accessories. And mustard is not the only exclusive on-tap offering; Maille’s new Vinegar on Tap is subtly fruity: (Sauternes Vinegar )made from the renowned dessert wine of Bordeaux and served in a refillable black stoneware bottle. Also new is Maille’s limited-edition spring collection, Les Jardins Secrets des Chefs, with bold Beet, Carrot, and Provençal Olive flavored mustards to complement vegetable-forward spring cuisine. The chic and contemporary Flatiron boutique is anchored by a custom-designed Mustard Bar where complimentary samples are offered daily to encourage experimentation and discovery.
The heart of the Boutique’s offerings is its exceptional variety of Dijon mustards, most notably Mustard on Tap. Filled to order in reusable stoneware jars and served from an authentic French ceramic pump, Mustard on Tap is currently available in four varieties: Dijon Originale with White Wine; Chablis White Wine; Wholegrain Chardonnay, and Sauternes.
